A gate for the whole state
The Patrika newspaper group built this gate at Jawahar Circle under the Jaipur Development Authority's heritage programme, and it was inaugurated in September 2020. Its pillars and arches are painted with the architecture, art and culture of Rajasthan's regions.
When to go
Early morning is quietest, before the traffic round the circle builds. It's beside the airport road, so it fits easily into the day you arrive or leave. Jawahar Circle garden, behind the gate, is a pleasant place for an evening walk.
