A jharokha is the carved window that leans out from a haveli wall, built so the household could watch the street without being seen. Hawa Mahal has 953 of them. This room keeps a few of its own, set as niches into a brick-patterned wall above a carved wooden headboard.
A sofa and a coffee table make a small sitting room inside the room, and a writing desk waits by the door for postcards, plans or a little work.
