A picture palace
Raj Mandir opened on 1 June 1976 with the film Charas, and it still feels like an opening night. The architect, W. M. Namjoshi, gave it curves, stars and a foyer like the inside of a pink meringue.
Watching a film here
Most films are in Hindi, and that matters less than you'd think. On a busy night the audience cheers the hero and whistles at the songs, and you'll follow everything you need to.
Booking
Book seats online or at the box office. Shows and prices depend on the film, the day and the seat class, so tell us your evening and we'll help you choose.
What to see

The foyer
Chandeliers, starbursts and soft pink plaster. Arrive early to see it before the crowd.
