Across Rajasthan, homes are finished with geru, a red-ochre earth that turns walls the colour of a late afternoon. This room takes its name and its palette from it: terracotta against soft grey, with a carved arch above the bed.
At 220 sq ft there is space to unpack properly. A 6 × 6 ft window and a private west-facing balcony bring the light in, and with a day bed, a work desk and a separate dressing area, nobody waits for the mirror.
